Of course, every audiologist, regardless of scope of practice, should be interested in hearing loss prevention. Every educational audiologist should participate in hearing conservation in the schools. I know the issue of school-based caseloads is a valid concern, but what better opportunity to plant the seeds that noise induced hearing loss is preventable and that louder isn't better?
